I’m sorry but I would have to disagree I currently work at a place where we are reliant on shipping containers to send product over seas and I can confirm finding shipping containers and ports available to take the cargo is extremely difficult even now that covid is a vivid memory…… we are still finding it extremely difficult to obtain containers themselves.

You're not waiting for 2 years to get a container though, right?

Regardless, as we commence yet another turn of the circle -

  • whether you don't have a container to put your product in, or;
  • whether you don't have a product to put in your container, or;
  • whether you have neither product nor container;

...this all ignores the fact that this ride was announced in May 2019 for a December 2020 opening, meaning a minimum of 6 months elapsed post-announcement, pre-pandemic (33% of original lead time) during which things could be ordered, manufactured and delivered.

We've seen coaster cars, sheds, steel and timber coaster structures - all of these things have arrived. Despite semiconductor shortages, cars continue to arrive, albeit with 6-12 month delays (but still not 2 years).

So, by this stage as we approach 3 years since announcement - if we're still waiting on a product to be manufactured, or a shipping container to put it in, or both - dude fucked up.

Period.

And now i'm off to lodge a travel insurance claim for my 2016 holiday to Hong Kong. I'll just tell my insurer the delay is because of covid. that works for everything now, right?

Or maybe *puts tin-foil hat on* there was never plans to extensively theme Leviathan and its theming was going to be more minimalistic/modern like Vortex but after reading the "feedback" on here (and probably other places) they decided to theme it properly so as it not to look like Steel Taipan as much. And rather than admit they changed their mind on theming last minute they're blaming covid delays instead.

Good point (Subject to FRR) since you'll see it on the ride and even some basic timber cladding (like at Polar Bear Shores) would have blended in.

Hopefully where you emerge from the station they do some rockwork to give some sense of exiting the leviathan lair or whatever it is

That all said, it is a 'show building' so ive got no problem with the bits facing the outside of the park being plain white.

Limited colours means good luck finding a non-common colour.  Still plenty of colours to choose from but you have to stick to what everyone else is doing, so it's whites, greys & browns.

I wouldn't have a metal shed in any colour.

A white shed is what you to do if you’re a theme park based on movies and want to mimic a sound stage.

Village is confused on which park Leviathan is being built in.

@Gazzaand it's obvious they're trying to make the shed not stand out with it's white fascia & gutter but the contrast against the coaster makes it stick out.

It's one of those comical moments because when they designed the sheds it was purposely made all white so not to stand out but they stuck it against a brown backdrop which now naturally draws your eyes towards it…..  It’s no different to adding contrasting colours for a feature wall of a room.

The only problem is they have made the shed the feature wall.

I hope I have jumped the gun on this one.😀

There is a lot of white around Sea World, mainly roofs etc, but there is a lot of shade structures that are also white or quite light in colour (beige/cream)

It's been a few years since my last visit so I'm working with Street View here, but I don't think it would look as out of place as some of you are making it sound, especially once some planting takes place. Most of the sheds are going to be facing back of house are they not?

You can very clearly see these buildings from most places within the park. The only part of the building you can’t really see is where the exit stairs are facing the road. But once the monorail is operating again then you will clearly be looking at this entire building. I’m thinking they went with the white because they will be painting over it and/or they’ll be some timber facade and planting installed. If it’s just kept white, then missed opportunity, but it is the/‘one of the’ cheapest colour to buy and if there was major budget cuts, then that’s why.

I don't know where you got that from but with colorbond that isn't true.

The only thing from the model that has 100% come to pass.  2 white boxes🤣

Car insurance is cheaper for white cars as the replacement parts are cheaper. I believe the parts are manufactured in white then resprayed to match the car colour, unless its a specialist part, otherwise no idea.
