Rumour has it Ops crew had a bit of a sneak peak recently. That and the walls being down, i'd say soft open is imminent.

I have no knowledge other than ops being trained on the coasters, if they are giving staff a sneak peak they are indeed closer than I assumed.

From the movie's Wikipedia article:

Universal Pictures and Marc Platt, who both produced the stage musical, announced the film adaptation in 2012. After a long development and multiple delays, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chu was hired to direct, with Erivo and Grande cast in 2021. The adaptation was split into two parts to avoid cutting plot points and expand the characters' journeys and relationships. Principal photography began in England in December 2022, was interrupted in July 2023 by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, and was resumed and completed in January 2024.

If anything MW would have been a bit late had the SAG-AFTRA strike not have happened.

Has village said anything lately? It's been over two weeks since they posted footage of FOTWW testing and the only other thing they posted was the coin... They started months before Dreamworld surely they have to be close by now

I've heard from a few people they're aiming for Friday, with a possible soft opening before hand. Also, the models have been uncovered!

I guess this means the land will open immediately on the opening date with no announcement from the park beforehand like Flash. Interesting to see...

God damn those models are schmick!

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again… GC Theme Parks are really upping the ante! Both deserve huge props for the standard they’re setting. Let’s hope they maintain it and continue to develop to this standard moving forward

I don't think this has been shared. Not sure if it breaks any laws but an interesting look nonetheless.

Universal Studios Singapore's soft opening period was from March 18, 2010 to October 26, 2010. The park's official grand opening was on May 28, 2011

Tomorrow is going to be a great time for theme park guests. Movieworld opening the OZ Section, but I also imagine Dreamworld will have a decent soft opening all day. Especially now Movieworld has posted the opening on their socials. Great time to be a coaster enthusiast and congrats to both parks for making more themed rides and areas.

Coasters are all ready to go from what I hear, finishing touches being put on the land.

Expecting soft opening in the second half of this week.

Well I was wrong about it being a soft opening tomorrow 😆.

Can’t wait to check it and Rivertown out on the weekend.

Exciting weekend, but I can't help but think Movie World is going to get some flack when the coasters inevitably go tech this weekend.

Excited, but it seems there were no lessons learned from the Atlantis opening debacle. I see no good reason other than "getting ahead" of the competition to not just soft-launch tomorrow with a proper opening on Boxing Day. But I guess I'm not an executive, so I wouldn't know any better.
