You’d think so. The Flash is currently closed for unscheduled maintenance which could be related to Superman closure, but flash is still scheduled to close after Easter

what seems to be the new schedule is Superman (this year closes early in Jan), Batwing, Driving School and Sylvester’s Feb - April.

you can’t see Green Lantern, Justice League, Speedy’s, Yosemite Sam’s, Splash Zones, Carousel or Wizard of Oz’s maintenance dates on the new maintenance page yet as it only shows 90 days in advanced (which imo is a flaw.)

Came on here to vent about another frustrating day today with MovieWorlds operations but lets be real its nothing that hasn’t been said on this forum a hundred times already so Ill just say yep, they still suck and nope, I wont stop attending because I love Rivals too much.

With KT having two tracks that can run independently from each other, you would hope they adopt the Dreamworld style approach that they do to the giant drop where they would perform annual maintenance to one side at a time leaving the other one operating

"Maintenance" is 30% keeping the ride operating well, 70% cost savings. High likelihood that both sides will shut.

I think we're all just that cynical about village's motives now that we think it's all intentional and deliberate. 

100% each track can operate independently of the other and train rebuilds should be done one at a time so that they can keep the other one operating. There are some occasions where both would need to be closed where work is needed on shared systems or envelope access, but general routine maintenance shouldn't need to offline both at the same time, and i'm confident that they won't do that "just because".

This is just curiosity and will add tha tI've not been so no idea what the area truely looks like, and not suggesting they do this cause visually it would suck unless executed really well, but with the layout, is it possible to create a separate envelope with temp fencing?

It would certainly be a sight to see even more fencing crammed into that land.

I did a quick google (I haven't been either) and it's clear the layout crosses over itself several times, and there isn't sufficient room between them to ensure clearances. no - you can't split the envelope.

If there is anything in the main envelope that is required since there isn’t any drive tires or much else out there you’d only expect track inspection and possibly some sensors and theming. 
 

Most parks can get track inspections done before opening so realistically it’s not unprecedented to do those and any larger projects can be done during the day in the closed off station area. 
 

most parks being, Europa, universal (look at their BTS of the Mummy things like that). 

I've said this - and been shot down for this before - but there must be 20 parks around the world that are open every year that keep their coasters open for years at a time.. with no downtime.

And you’ll continue to be every time you suggest it. None of those parks are in Australia. They are not working under the same workplace legislations, operating procedures, staffing levels, financial constraints etc etc etc etc

I find it fairly impressive that Dreamworld can keep Steel Taipan open for most of the year.

I've visited these parks and I have had coasters closed, yes it sucks whilst your there, but those parks have the ability and resources to condense those closures into 4-5 day turnarounds, where as ours don't. Yes, some of our closures are absurdly long, and it is about 30% maintenance, 70% not operating the ride (however when you think about it, over 5 years this should give the ride an extra year of life), it's unfortunately just the way it is. If you don't like it, vote with your wallet. Don't keep on handing your hard earned money over, the state the park is in at the moment is appalling, they opened a sub par land at the end of last year, and your wallet would be the only way to get VRTP listening. But that won't happen for a while (probably never), DC Rivals & Leviathan keeps me renewing my pass year after year.

Because you can't distinguish, Australia is different to the rest of the world.

Superman Escape forces, I was quite surprised about how forceful the launch/tophat actually are.

Its not even full power. The launch system is capable of developing more horsepower than its limited to due to track design/length and speed restrictions.

I've always found the term 'broken down' to be an odd message. Just the word 'broken' isn't really the image I want to have thinking about rides. Even Airlines use 'maintenance delay' or 'technical issue'. 

Given its a movie themed park, and movie broadcasts used to have a 'technical difficulties' standby slide - i would think it would be on theme to use 'technical difficulties' rather than BROKEN DOWN which IMO just makes it sound like the park is poorly maintained.... #ohwait

With Superman now open can anyone confirm if there has been any change to the queue at all?
