Surprisingly some new theming has been put in place on WWF with new text adorning the structure on top of the mountain. (Credit to lukey_boy_90)

I believe that text used to be there, but just became super faded. Great to see the park finally putting in the effort to restore the ride (hopefully that’s the case with the rest of the ride experience)

Yep - Rio Bravo was the original theme intended for the ride, until the movie tie-in with Wild Wild West was picked up (which is mentioned in the Wild West Falls Adventure Ride - Wikipedia article.

The ride was cloned in Parque Warner Madrid and kept the original Rio Bravo name Rio Bravo Attraction | Parque Warner Madrid

I'm excited to see any sort of love go back into the Wild West area, it's been sad for so long. Effects that dont work, no area audio, a food shop that hardly opens, and a bunch of random carnival games i never see anybody actually play.

Indeed, it was scheduled to reopen on Friday. Still says it'll be open by then, I assume they'll try to winch it up to the mid course, but not sure how long that would take. They'd have some experience with this as I think it vallied in the same spot last september closure.

Today was the first time I'd visited the park in months and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Seems like they're slowly starting to turn things around. Hope I haven't spoken too preemptively.

Yeah, the park is definitely improving which is really great to see. Hopefully this trend continues.

Can someone confirm if it's actually open. Didn't expect such a quick recovery, if it is, well done.

Today was the first time i'd visited the park in years and honestly I was optimistic and had a few pleasant experiences but ultimately the bad outweighed the good and there's a long road ahead.

Currently here, and it hasn't Reopened yet.

As crazy as this might sound it wasn't a terrible day. Wednesday wasn't bad at all. Not sure if we got lucky but waits were reasonable, queues actually moving, and attractions were staffed properly, something that Dreamworld still doesn't quite get right. It was off peak and the park had a good atmosphere and nothing I can really fault them for. As I said I'm just as surprised as everyone is probably reading this. We actually had a good day.

I read that you were at the parks this week, what days and how did you find it?

Fun ride but my biggest fear actually is its going to get stuck every time I ride it lol.

Same day as you, Wednesday. I've already said about as much as I want to say - its a single visit and I want to wait a while before I share further thoughts on it.

Both coasters within Wizard of Oz will be closed at the same time after the school holidays. Presuming they have to complete works that impact both coasters and hence the double closure, otherwise it’s very unfortunate timing

Movie World has confirmed part of the most recent maintenance was to upgrade the theming’s operating system and that additional theming will come online in the next few months but nothing specific as of now.
