Jacko, settle down mate, you'll give yourself a heart attack getting so angry.....the monorail is only closed from 30 April till 3rd June...which is only really 1 month. At least they let us know, and it's not like National Lampoons when they finally make it to Walley World, because while hilarious at the time, it'd probably be frowned upon these days.

Seriously? There is currently one thread bashing a park for giving a date and then not sticking to it and now this one bashing another for not committing to a date they can't possibly know.

Interesting you should mention that, look closely in the photo taken this morning at SW This morning Sea Viper was having some work done to the track..

In the image of the sea viper there are two small areas of white around the length of a track piece apart. Have they been replacing some parts?

I was at Seaworld yesterday and saw on some sections of Sea Viper's track there was writing pointing to parts of the track saying "crack" and stuff. Not sure if that was just part of normal maintenance or the reason for the holdup?

^^ Disagree. That coaster is a good allrounder with broad appeal. I doubt any replacement would be the same.

Not really, the two are totally different experiences and SV gives people a chance to do an upside down coaster whilst still being fairly tame. I see no point in removing a coaster for another, focus on other areas and add NEW experiences, not replacement ones.

When I was at SW (Mide March) I realised some big work was happening on SV. I took a few pictures to, It does look like near the stations the track has major wear marks on it. Now I'm no expert apart from working for a new years with different rides but I'd say its just annual maintenance. I got talking to the lady in the Jet Rescue shop and she said it was only having normal work done on it. I stated to her the ride is pretty old and she agreed by saying "They don't want to pull it down, its a big draw card for us".Give it time everyone. I was annoyed I did not get the change to ride it but I am sure the SW maintenance crew is working as fast as they can. Waiting on parts from overseas can be a real kick in the pants when working on a schedule, Its not like buying something off Ebay!. I'd post the pics but I am sure everyone has already seen for them selves.
