Nah Busy weekends is a nice new touch.

maybe busy weekends. if the train is in one piece. and they have the extra staff. and they rostered it correctly. and they dont need the extra staff deployed to other rides because others called out.

there's a lot of ifs - they aren't new... nor are they nice ;)

The purchase of a dueling cost is mind boggling, if you're mostly not running it to duel.

TBF they never sold it as a duelling coaster. and in many circles, twister was marketed as "one ride" - so having half shut down doesn't change either of those experiences. KT is still operating. it's building redundant coasters to report higher uptime, right?

It was always going to be that way because MW always operates like this.

Copying Gumbuya World suspended coaster was also mind boggling.

After selling DW's and MW's car park over the weekend.  It's easy to know which theme park is stumbling.

To be fair village bought these rides a very long time ago well before gumbuya world built theirs

Deets of the rides got announced to staff like when? early 2022? All the pieces were shipped around the same time and sitting out the back for years too. Was just really shit timing

No excuses for not running both sides of kansas twister other than cost saving because movie world cbf rostering more staff. Just part and parcel of modern village roadshow i'm afraid.

Two projections already not working in the wizard room

Probably a standard cost saving move….

I know it is off-peak season, but running only one train on your duelling coaster despite the line going the whole through the barn, outside and the whole way back to the stairs outside indoor area with Dorothy’s house is ridiculous…

so too is that we’re still at 5-6min dispatches on Wicked Witch despite 6 people working the ride, which just means they chat in bigger groups between cycles.. only letting one cycle worth in the castle and everyone out in the sun is even more anti-guest experience

As many have said on this forum already people need to stop going and giving them $ otherwise they will continue to do it. Go to Dreamworld where they actually care about guest experience. The general public needs to learn that.

In the nature of fairness, I should also mention I did pop into DW yesterday afternoon and they were only running 1 train on JR which was disappointing to see and blowing the wait time out to about 40mins

it's a bit of a double whammy for jungle rush because dropping the second train instantly increases the cycle time by 33% in addition to the load time.

For both parks though, it is off peak, out of holidays - this is the time when train rebuilds should happen so that they can run both trains in the peak periods.

At least in JR's case it is out of the sun and at least they attempted to provide guest comfort with ventilation systems in the queue.

Absolutely. The 40mins in JR was far less of a slog than the WoO queues were in the sun

All projections were working on Monday

They are pretty high end DLP laser projectors and most are in environmentally controlled housings FWIW

Even the Green Lantern part where he opens the door cause I haven't seen that work in years?

Fairly sure @rappa was talking about the Oz Chamber projections, I was in on Sunday and can state this was the case.

Oh my bad 😮

At best, they probably could have placed an ugly looking door across the entry way instead. They can't really build out the doorways themselves as they need to keep access to scooby. A great idea might be to install a staff change room and toilets behind the fenced area.

Theres another one of these cavities on the opposite side than runs the length of the superman building in the old Chinatown alleyway too. Not as wide, partially filled with decommissioned air conditioning stuff.

In @Ogre latest video they show that they are now testing the second train and it’s under ‘technical rehearsal’. No one was riding the second train at the time of their visit, but it was operating as a duelling coaster.
