That all said, Metropolis is the area around Doomsday. The superman area I didn't think had an external theme outside the ride.

Superman goes down tomorrow for maintenance, so this could happen really fast.

I'd say thematically it has to be a hero. You've got a villans land on the other side of the park. Some sort of Lex Luther contraption that makes Earthquakes would be a sickeningly easy and lazy tie in otherwise.

Popped in the arvo to have a look. The lower section was marked as "Platform". The upper section was harder to make out, but it looked like "Water".

Lex Luthor would be my first choice because it literally sits metres away from superman, but Aquaman could easily work as a theme and is probably the most appropriate choice given the nature of the ride. I've always felt that corner has been more general DC than superman. After all, Arkham Asylum was sitting right next door for about 10 years so pretty much anything goes.

The swamp outside the park

Superman is closed for maintenance from tomorrow until late March. Could we see the construction happen during this time?

Well they would need a slab and the machinery to build the main parts of the ride and to install the fencing. Once thats done they theoretically can continue works while Superman is open as they won't need large machines and won't be in Supermans ride envelope due to the fence.

@themagician do MW normally put the sheeting up along the whole SE wall for annual maintenance (from your pic on FB) or do they normally just block the path off?

That could actually be true out of all the coasters (if any) that are inside the helix of another coaster. Sadly, movierider will at best only be the second most iconic coaster in the world.
